Heterotopias

I'm a title. Click here to edit me.

'Heterotopia' refers to the presence and coexistence of a particular tissue type at a non-physiological site. Michel Foucault uses this to describe the condition of 'otherness' and spatial juxtapositions within cultures and society. Notions of 'other' are explored through these physical acts and placements to create altered states, visual rhymes and a sense of the uncanny.
